Your hand opens and closes and opens and closes.
If it were always a fist or always stretched open,
you would be paralysed.
Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding,
the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated
as bird wings.
from The Essential Rumi
We value having a community of practitioners and our aim is to cultivate a community of creativity and sharing within the developing energy psychotherapy field.
We feel tremendous gratitude to the pioneers in the field, especially to practitioners such as Asha Clinton who integrated so many methods from different energy therapy modalities, and, in AIT or Advanced Integrative Training (this should say Therapy instead of Training) has given us a solid foundational structure of learning energy methods. In the early 2000s Asha presented a rich body of work and we are indebted to her for the depth and breadth of her ideas and tools to help in healing the body, mind and spirit.
We also feel much gratitude to other pioneers, particularly Tapas Fleming with Tapas Acupressure Technique and Gary Craig, who, with Emotional Freedom Techniques popularised ‘tapping’ and made it accessible to so many people. Sandi Radomski has made a fantastic and generous contribution with Ask and Receive. And Howard Brockman with hisDynamic Energetic Healing has also added a different dimension to our work
The International Community (ACEP, of which Phil was former President) and ourselves feel special gratitude to Phil Mollon in the UK who has been so open and generous, freely offering demonstrations, sharing his knowledge and information and encouraging the development of a diverse and healthy energy therapy community in this country. So many of us owe our introduction to the field to him.
Since energy itself is vast, and available to all, we share in the rich discovery of co-creation and exploration. Our ethos values a model of growth for energy psychotherapy of integration, synthesis, and co-operation. We aspire to create a community which comes together freely valuing all energy psychotherapies and sharing new discoveries.
Our first stage when learning energy psychology is to embody energy techniques and processes in our work. As we gain in confidence, we start to use them more creatively. This brings huge potential to the field. We are now on the second or even third wave of energy psychotherapists. We see this as a source of creativity, rich diversity and cross fertilisation. It is our growing edge. Our curiosity and willingness to hold the unknown allows the freedom to explore infinite possibilities.
We warmly invite you to participate in our developing community.
